Shirt – Polo Ralph Lauren | Jeggings – American Eagle | Shoes – Charlotte Russe
Back with another outfit post! I got the opportunity to shoot this denim daze outfit with the beautiful, Nicole Solero a little while ago. Whoever thought to pair denim on denim is an absolute genius! I’ve been obsessing over this trend for awhile now and I’m glad I get to show it on the blog. Not everyone’s a fan of the denim on denim look, but the trick is pairing the right two shades of denim together. I usually opt for a lighter denim on top and darker denim on the bottom. This look is also great with white denim. Be on the lookout for that outfit combo. Now on to the outfit…
I have about four denim/chambray shirts, and every time I see one when out shopping, I feel like I HAVE to get it #confessionsofashopaholic. This particular one is from Polo Ralph Lauren. On a side note, ever since Ralph Lauren came out with the Polo concept of stores, I die for everything that he makes under that brand! They have a good mix of styles and always have amazing sales. Now back to the shirt. Technically, this shirt is more of a linen shirt that mimics denim, so it would fall more under the chambray side of things. But, for the sake of this post, we’ll just call it denim. It’ll be our little secret ;). I like the fact that it is a different fabric because it gives a variety of texture to the outfit.
For the pants, I picked these high rise jeggings from American Eagle. Remember when I had my obsession with Hollister and Abercrombie? Well American Eagle has taken their place. I love all of the basics they offer and I feel like you can always find an extra 30-40% off of their clearance. So on top of getting a really good deal, these jeans are comfortable and everything you could want in high waisted jeggings. With jeggings, it can go either way: more denim than legging or more legging than denim. I prefer it to feel more like jeans and these make the cut. They are also EXTREMELY high-waisted, which I really enjoy because I hate when I buy high waisted anything and it reaches my belly button.
For my shoes, I went with these lace up flats from Charlotte Russe that I’ve really been loving. Lace up flats are a trend that I hope sticks around for awhile. It’s just a nice way to jazz up normal flats. I also have these in a black pair, because you know..
Find a basic piece that you like, buy it in every color they have.
I’m not a huge accessory person, so I kept it super simple with two rings and a bracelet from a local boutique here in Orlando. Hands down one of my favorite outfit combos, that you can wear all year round and have so many different variations. Like usual, you can shop the items or similar ones down below! I also apologize for the amount of times the word denim was used in this post lol.
